Pencil Portraits from live or from a photograph taken at the event. My style is elegant and sophisticated, yet expressive and creative, capturing the essence of every guest!

how does the portrait drawing work

Booking

  • You fill out the form for an availability check. I will respond within two business days.

  • During a video/phone call, we go through the options and your ideas together, as well as the practical details, and I will put together an offer that matches both sides. You will have two weeks to accept it and pay the deposit - 20%. Booking confirmed!

2.

Strike a Pose

  1. On the day I will arrive earlier at the venue - usually within 30 minutes before the start of the event. After setting up and warming up, I start interacting with the guests by either inviting them to sit for the portrait or have their photograph taken for portrait collection at the end of the event.

  2. I sketch from live or from the photographs for no longer than 10 minutes each portrait on A6 size high quality art paper, in a specifically allocated area where the artistic set up is positioned (easel, table, chairs, lights etc). The drawings can be individual or in couple.

  3. The style is sketchy yet sophisticated, with flattering likeness and a hint of colour, or the classy black & white.

    All guests images are taken with my personal iPhone and deleted straight after the event for privacy reasons.

Art handing over

  • All portraits are ready to be collected by the guests, or displayed for everyone to enjoy and offered at the end of the event in sleek, recyclable plastic envelopes for protection.

  • Within a week after the date, you will receive an invoice with the remaining balance. You can check the pricing here.

  • I usually work on A5 and A6 size paper, 220 gsm. I am also open to working on other surfaces like customised folders or booklets, textile, fashion items, boxes etc.

  • Yes - text, logo, simple frames can be added. More complex backgrounds will require an additional cost. Special envelopes or folders can also be added.

  • A5 size - 6 people

  • Yes, but no more than 2 people per sketch.

  • The minimum hire time is 3 hours.

  • Yes! Portraits are carefully placed in size appropriate recyclable plastic envelopes to avoid damage and gifted to the guests at the end of the event.

    • Creating the portraits beforehand to be offered as gifts at the event.

    • Finishing the drawings in the studio.

    • Prioritising family and close friends.
