Celebrating LOVE through painting, captured on the spot at your wedding day! My paintings are vibrant and painterly, with an elegant touch they realistically depict the atmosphere of this special day of your life. In addition, having an artist paint live offers a unique and memorable experience for your guests and adds a touch of creativity and inspiration to your wedding!

how does the portrait drawing work

1.

Booking

  • You fill out the form for an availability check. I will respond within two business days. If I am not available you may need to consider a painting based on a wedding photo.

  • During a video/phone call, we go through the options and your ideas together and I will put together an offer that matches both sides. You will have two weeks to accept it and pay the deposit - 20%. Booking confirmed!

  • About two weeks before the wedding day I usually suggest to be back in touch again to finalise the details and logistics - which family member or wedding planner I can contact upon arrival and ask questions during the day; will there be a photographer or a videographer (always good if we can work together), what is the area I will be positioned at etc.

2.

Strike a Pose

  • I arrive earlier at the venue, preferably 1-2 hours in advance, to set up my workspace and start painting the pre-selected background.

  • Once this is done, I photograph the bride and the groom in a pose of their choice - entrance, exchanging the rings, cutting the cake etc., and then add the figures onto the painting. There could be different scenarios depending on the arrangement with the couple and the wedding planner.

  • I paint with acrylic on stretched canvas in a specifically allocated area, where the easel and art materials are positioned. Depending on the selected package I will work on the painting on site for the duration of the booking and I will finish it in the studio as touch ups and varnish are usually needed.

3.

Art handing over

  • With both packages I put extra time into all the tiny details. They both include a round of feedback after the day, and a feedback round for the final details once I’ve rendered the painting. As a final check I will send a photo when completed.

  • Both choices get a protective varnish layer. If I live nearby I prefer to deliver the painting personally, otherwise the painting can be collected from my studio, or will be sent to you as an insured parcel.

  • Within a week after the wedding date, you will receive an invoice with the remaining balance. You will also receive a certificate of authenticity of the artwork.

You can check the pricing here.

Note: I am based in London, and as I travel by train, weddings in London or the surrounding areas are currently prioritised. I can also travel within the UK and abroad; however, I am limited by train departures and access to more remote locations. In such cases, transport expenses (train/flight tickets) and overnight accommodation must be provided, and assistance with transport from the nearest accessible point may also be needed.

  • Contact me directly and I will let you know within two working days whether I am available. Most clients book me between half a year or year and a half in advance of their wedding day. Last minute bookings are also possible.

  • There are two options in this case:

    • I can make a commissioned wedding painting for you in the studio based on photos from the wedding.

    • I can have you noted as a back up option in case of a cancellation or rescheduling of another booking.

  • Should a wedding have to be rescheduled, I can be flexible and check if I am available on the new date. If the painting booking is cancelled right before the wedding day, however, I will have to keep the deposit.

    • About two weeks before the wedding we schedule a meeting where we can go over the practical points together, like planning, who I have to check in with, who takes care of the painting at the end of the evening etc.

    • It is important that the event planner / venue knows I am coming and that there is a spot for me to work at, with a sufficient space to move around and step back to evaluate, and a good visibility. I can be featured in a prominent spot or a bit more in the background, whatever you prefer.

    • If the event takes place in the evening or in a dark atmosphere, a nearby power socket for the lamp I use is necessary.

  • Sure! Please contact me for a custom calculation of the travel and accommodation fees as they depend on many variables.

  • I usually work on 16×20” (40×50cm) or 20×24” (50×61cm) sizes stretched canvas.

  • Acrylic paint on stretched cotton or linen canvas.

  • In order to secure your booking and for me to be able to prepare for your big day, there is a 20% deposit. You will receive a link for easy payment and an invoice with the confirmation. The remaining balance is due after the painting is done.

  • Yes, The Grand Celebration Package includes your guests (up to 8 people).

  • My prices for live wedding painting vary, from £1000 up to £2200 including all costs (travel, taxes etc.) within the UK. The price depends on:

    • the size of the painting

    • how long do I paint (how detailed the painting is)

    • where is the location of the venue

    • shipping cost

    • when is the wedding (last minute bookings are slightly more expensive)

You can check the packages I offer. Prices are valid until the end of the year.

  • It depends on the setting and whether it is convenient to pose for a bit. The reference images I take are shot quickly so you don’t need to stand still for long. The moments of your choice are quite brief (exchanging rings, first kiss, ceremony exit etc.) I take reference photos which I eventually work from. I can also join the photoshoot you do with the photographer during the first look before the ceremony. It all depends on your wishes and your vision for your painting.

  • Usually up to 5 business days after the wedding day for The Intimate Portrait and up to 3 weeks for The Grand Celebration.

  • No unfortunately you don’t, as the painting usually requires touch ups ( details on the faces, or clothes) and varnish. This needs to be safely done at the studio and delivered to you.
